Marrakahshe Retreat

Terms of booking

These terms apply to every stay booked directly with Marrakahshe Retreat. When you book you also agree to the home's house rules and cancellation policy, shown on its page and at checkout.

About these terms

These terms apply to every stay booked directly with Marrakahshe Retreat through this website, including stays offered to you privately at an agreed price. When you book, you also agree to the home's house rules and its cancellation policy, which are shown on the home's page and at checkout before you pay.

Your booking confirmation sets out your stay: the home, the dates, the number of guests and the price. Together with the house rules, the cancellation policy and these terms, it is the whole agreement between you and the host.

Payment

All amounts are in the currency shown at checkout and include the taxes shown. Where the price is paid in two parts, the deposit is paid when you book and the balance is due on the date shown in your confirmation. If the balance is not paid by that date, the host may cancel the booking under the cancellation policy.

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. The host never sees or stores your card details.

Cancellations and changes

Refunds follow the home's cancellation policy, measured from the date the host receives your cancellation. Please cancel or ask for a change in writing, by email or message.

A change of dates or guests is a new arrangement and is only confirmed once the host agrees to it in writing.

Your stay

Check-in and check-out times are shown in your confirmation. An earlier arrival or later departure may be possible on request but is never guaranteed. Access instructions are sent before you arrive.

The number of people staying must not exceed the number booked, and never the maximum shown for the home. Parties and events are not allowed without the host’s written permission.

Please leave the home in a reasonably clean and tidy condition.

Damage and responsibility

You are responsible for any damage to the home, its contents or its amenities caused during your stay by you, anyone in your group, your visitors or your pets, beyond normal wear and tear. The host will tell you about any damage found, with photos, and you agree to pay the reasonable cost of repair or replacement.

You are responsible for the people in your group following the house rules and these terms.

Safety and use of the home

Pools, hot tubs, saunas, lakes, beaches, watercraft, fire pits and similar features are used at your own risk. Children must be supervised at all times near water. Where life jackets are provided they must be worn on any watercraft.

The host does not guarantee outdoor conditions such as weather, water quality or depth.

Things outside the host’s control

The host will do what is reasonable to fix anything that stops working during your stay. Brief interruptions to power, water, heating, internet or similar services that are outside the host’s control are not grounds for a refund.

In an emergency, or for an urgent repair, the host or someone acting for them may enter the home, with notice to you whenever possible.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, the host is not liable for injury, loss or damage to you, your group or your belongings during your stay, except where it is caused by the host’s own negligence. You agree to cover the host against claims arising from your group’s use of the home.

General

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.

If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. Any change to a booking must be agreed in writing by both you and the host.
